Valentine’s Day pillaging and plundering up in yonder northland.

Last night we spent some time with Leanna, Jalee, and Jaden. Unfortunately we don’t have any pictures of the night, it was a lot of fun and our first time at their house. They have some ropes hanging from a beam for swinging and playing. There were three types of cakes/cupcakes to choose from for dessert. There was hullaballoo playing and their two crazy dogs.
One highlight for me was after dinner when Nina, who had been pretty quiet, suddenly exclaimed, “I’m bigger! Hey guys look I’m bigger!” We turned to congratulate her and she was looking in delight and surprise down at her body. “I am!” she repeated with conviction. She was right, she had grown.
Tonight Evan got to feast with some clientele for work and he still isn’t home as I write this. We miss him! It was a good day, but I have to admit that I didn’t have the drive to do an awesome dinner. So I concocted something consisting of cheese tortellini, lentils and bell pepper (+onions, garlic, tomato etc). So you can imagine my surprise when Nina smiled up at me and enthusiastically said “I like this, mom!” Then I wasn’t surprised when she stopped eating it after a couple of bites.
Grandpa Searle made up a few euphanisms for food. I’m sure he would agree that tonight’s dinner was definitely subgumblooey.
